Why oh why can't schools give proper notice of events etc, and not just a couple of days.
Yesterday DD brought home a blue bin liner to fill for the school with old clothes and bedding etc to raise funds. The school has known it was doing this weeks ago (they did one earlier in the year and said then that it would be doing so again about now) so why do they insist on sending the bag home 2 days before collection (collecting Thursday).
Its they same with costumes for plays and shows they send a note home Friday costume to be in by Monday if I'm lucky it might be Tuesday - is it that teachers assume that everybody work the same hours as they do and they know that I work Thursday to Sunday nights so shopping making costumes at weekend is a definate no no.
Does anyone else have children whose teachers seem so disorganised, or if you are a teacher/classroom assistant, please can you tell me why we don't get a reasonable amount of notice for these things.

Right ow I've got that off my chest I'm going to see if I can fill this blue bag.
